Ingredients
  1. Wheat Flour - 1 cup
  2. Unsalted butter - 100 grams
  3. A pinch of salt
  4. Powdered Jaggery Or Powdered Sugar - 1/2 cup
  5. Milk - 2 tbsp
  6. Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Steps
  1. Sieve the wheat flour and baking powder together. Add salt to this.
  2. Cut the butter into small pieces and mix with the wheat flour well until it resembles coarse bread crumbs.
  3. Add the powdered sugar or jaggery to this and mix well
  4. Add milk to this bit by bit and mix well to form a dough. Now cling wrap this and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  5. Dust a rolling board with flour and then roll the dough. It should not be too thick nor too thin. Cut it into shapes using a cookie cutter.
  6. Preheat oven to 170°C.
  7. Line the cookies on a baking tray and bake at 170°C for 18 - 20 minutes or until done. Leave it to cool.
  8. Store these in an air tight container .
