Ingredients
  1. Onion 1 large
  2. Peas 2 cups
  3. Whole Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
  4. Coriander Powder 1 tbsp
  5. Bay leaf 1 No
  6. Cumin Powder 1 tbsp
  7. Turmeric 1 tsp
  8. Red Chili Powder 1/2tsp
  9. Vegetable Oil 2 tbsp
  10. Lemon Juice 1tbsp
  11. Sugar 1 tsp
  12. Cilantro
  13. Salt
  14. prawns 30 grams
  15. water 1 cup
Steps
  1. Clean and deveined the prawns. Boil peas for 5 mins.
  2. Mix with 1 tsp of turmeric, red chilli powder and salt to taste.
  3. Fry in 1bsp of oil until tails are deep pink in color. Remove the prawns and set aside
  4. Add the remaining oil and add whole cumin seeds and bay leaf
  5. Chop onions finely and cook over medium flame with salt and sugar
  6. Add the remaining spices when onions are golden brown
  7. Add 2 tbsp of water to avoid the burning of spice mixture
  8. When oil separates from the spice mixture add 1 cup of water and peas
  9. Add cooked prawns and let it simmer for 2-3mins
  10. Garnish with cilantro and lemon juice and serve hot with steamed rice
