  1. Whole wheat flour 200 gm
  2. Powdered oats 30 gm
  3. Cold salted butter 60 gm
  4. Water 2 tbsp
  5. Apples 2 large
  6. Cinnamon Powder 1 tsp
  7. Brown Sugar 2 tbsp
  8. Honey 2 tsp
  9. Melted butter 5 gm or 1 tsp
  1. Take flour in a bowl and rub 60 gms of cold butter in it gently with your fingers.
  2. Knead dough quickly by sprinkling water.
  3. Divide the dough into two and roll into thin sheets. Refrigerate between 2 layers of foil.
  4. Take apples, remove core and chop into cubes. If you prefer extra fibre in the recipe then retain the peel.
  5. Saute apples in it till they sweat. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar and leave this mixture to cool.
  6. Carefully line a pie tray (5’inch diameter) with one of the dough sheets and trim the extra.
  7. Now top it with sauted apples along with syrup. Take the remaining disc and cut thin strips of it. Using these thin strips make lattice pattern over the pie.
  8. Brush with honey and bake for 40 minutes or till surface look golden and shiny.
  9. Serve by cutting into wedges.
