  1. All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1 cup
  2. Water As Needed
  3. Salt A pinch
  4. Ghee – 1 tsp
  5. Jaggery / Sarkarai / Palm Sugar – 1.5 cup
  6. Water – 1/2 cup
  7. Fresh Coconut – 1.5 cup grated
  8. Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
  1. Take coconut in a blender and pulse it few times till it is fine.
  2. Take jaggery and water in a sauce pan and heat till it is melted. Strain and set aside.
  3. Pour this back into the same kadai. Add in coconut and mix well.
  4. Keep cooking this till it is thick. Add in cardamom powder, ghee and mix well. Remove this to a bowl and allow it to cool down.
  5. Now make the dough. Take water and ghee in a bowl and mix well. Add flour andsalt and make a soft dough.let it rest for 15 mins.
  6. Divide dough and filling into equal balls. Take a dough and place filling in it, flatten it and roll it into a roti.
  7. Place this in a hot pan, cook till golden on both sides.
  8. Serve.
