  1. 1 1/2 cups (300 gms) Whole Wheat Flour
  2. 1/4 cup Melted Butter
  3. 1 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 3/4 cup Warm Water
  1. Mix the flour,cumin seeds and salt in a bowl and add warm water to knead the dough.
  2. Cover the dough with damp cloth and keep aside for half an hour.
  3. Now add the melted butter in the dough and knead well.
  4. Make small portions from the dough.
  5. Make a hole in each round portion and put some more melted butter and seal it.
  6. Roll these balls a little,put some butter and again roll it to form rotis.
  7. Heat a stainless steel pan and cook these rotis by spreading butter on each side (or use a spray oil to oil the pan before each roti).
  8. Press down with a spatula or damp tea towel to create air pockets in areas
  9. - you will hear the Roti squeak as you do this. Flip when ready and cook on other side
  10. . Serve hot with choice of curry dish.
